Job summary

Barton Jones Packaging Limited, based in Letchworth Garden City, is seeking a Corrugated Production Operative to join a small, friendly production team manufacturing high quality bespoke corrugated boxes.

You will operate production machinery, follow SOPs and safety guidelines, perform quality checks, and assemble components as required. This is a hands-on role with training and development opportunities in a growing, customer-focused packaging business.

About the role

Barton Jones Packaging are a well-established supplier and manufacturer of corrugated cartons, bespoke boxes and a large variety of packaging. Based in Letchworth Garden City, we are looking to recruit a Corrugated Production Operative to work as part of a team running machines producing high quality, bespoke corrugated boxes.

• Operate production machinery and equipment to manufacture bespoke corrugated products.
• Follow strict standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to ensure efficient and safe production processes.
• Adhere to accreditation quality, hygiene and safety policies.
• Ensure quality checks during manufacture and on finished products are carried out to confirm they meet specifications.
• Assemble components as required.

Skills required

• Good arithmetic skills.
• Quality conscious, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to measure and check dimensions accurately.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Flexible approach, a can-do work ethic and a great team player.

You will be working with a small friendly team on a variety of roles with a mix of machines, which makes the work interesting and varied. This is the perfect opportunity for an individual to take the next step in their career with excellent training and development.

Package

• 8 hour day between 6am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, dependent on the production schedule with prior notice from your line manager (typical hours are Mon-Fri 08:00-17:00, Thursday 07:00-16:00)
