Role Overview

An exciting opportunity exists to serve our Corps (churches) throughout the West Midlands Urban conurbation and the counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire. This role provides a wide range of administrative support, including financial duties, to ensure our mission and ministry operate effectively, safely, and in compliance with regulations.

The Corps Operational Support role will be based at our West Midlands Divisional Headquarters in Birmingham, with visits to our Corps to support our team of Officers engaged in mission and ministry. Responsibilities include bookkeeping, banking, creating and updating risk assessments, health and safety compliance, safeguarding updates, and liaising with property teams as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Experience in administration within team settings and organizations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage your schedule, including visits across a large geographical area.
  • Possession of a full UK driving licence.
  • Access to a car for work (pool cars are available most of the time).
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
