Job Description:

The Securities & Derivatives Associate Analyst is a developing professional role. This role involves monitoring and assessing processes and data within the domain of securities and derivatives. It requires integrating disciplinary knowledge with industry practices, understanding team interactions, and developing industry standards knowledge. The role impacts the business through task quality, primarily within the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute securities transaction processing, mainly related to Securities Clearance Settlement and Derivative Operations.
  • Provide analytic support to traders and review derivative products.
  • Support a diverse range of products and services.
  • Follow procedures to identify and investigate issues in securities and derivatives settlement.
  • Assist in resolving problems by applying technical experience, guided by precedents.
  • Deliver reports to meet management needs and support control activities.
  • Contribute to process improvements.
  • Minimize risks by understanding procedural requirements, monitoring errors, and adhering to audit policies.
  • Manage and escalate requests, inquiries, and errors promptly, especially post-settlement issues.
  • Demonstrate an intermediate understanding of products and processes and how duties relate within the team.
  • Possess strong knowledge of bank-related systems.
  • Use effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, conveying complex information sensitively.
  • Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and escalating control issues transparently.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience in Treasury Operations or Middle Office.
  • Good understanding of Treasury products, accounting, and regulatory policies.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, time-sensitive, high-risk environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of Macros.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
