Job Opportunity - Corporate Technical Accountant

One of my local Government clients are currently on the lookout for an Interim Corporate Technical Accountant to join their team.

Contract Length: 6 Months

Pay Rate: DOE

Days: Ideally X5 days p/w but could also consider part time.

Start Date: ASAP.

Hybrid working: Some office presence is desirable.

The client has a number of different pieces of work that need doing with closing their accounts being the top priority. There will likely also be some capital accounting and assets specific work.

The client will very much play to your strengths, so if you haven't touched much on capital or assets, they can shift things around within the team so that you just solely focus on closedown.

Duties:

1. Leading or contributing towards closing down their 24/25 accounts.
2. Completing notes on and pulling together the statement of accounts.
3. Closing down the councils capital accounts.
4. Specific asset accounting work around revaluations following audit.

Minimum Requirements:
It is essential that applicants have recent local authority experience closing down accounts.
