Job summary

Vaisto Recruitment Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to Associate Director, offering portfolio ownership, senior-level responsibility and scope to shape client advice.

You will join an independent firm of chartered accountants with a long NW history, handling a diverse corporate client base, mentoring juniors and delivering advisory and compliance services.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualified with at least 5 years' corporation tax experience in practice.
• Experience managing a diverse corporate portfolio from start-ups through to multi-million-pound groups.
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues and support career progression.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, including owner-managed businesses, SMEs and larger corporate groups.
• Oversee corporate tax compliance, ensuring timely return submissions and advising on payments including quarterly instalments.
• Manage WIP and the billing process across your portfolio.
• Advise on tax planning opportunities, including corporate structuring, R&D tax relief and capital allowances.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients and manage tax risk and compliance matters.
• Develop and mentor junior team members, supporting their technical and professional growth.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a key point of contact for tax matters.

Corporate Tax Senior Manager - Responsibilities

Portfolio management

Team & client development

• Develop and mentor junior team members, supporting their technical and professional growth
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a key point of contact for tax matters
• Stay up to date with tax legislation and ensure assignments are completed within budget

Corporate Tax Senior Manager - Requirements

• ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualified
• Minimum of 5 years' corporation tax experience in professional practice
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience managing client relationships and handling a portfolio independently
• Ability to mentor and support junior team members
