Corporate Tax Senior / Assistant Manager
Bury St Edmunds
£42,000 - £50,000

Clark Wood, renowned specialists in Accountancy Practice and Tax recruitment, are currently partnering with a highly reputable regional firm of accountants who are actively looking to strengthen their Corporate Tax team at either Senior or Assistant Manager level.

Role Overview:

In this leading firm, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, handling all aspects of the corporation tax compliance function. Additionally, you will assist in other compliance tasks, oversee and develop junior staff, and gradually be introduced to advisory and planning work.

As a portfolio manager, you will build and maintain strong client relationships and supervise Tax Assistants, reviewing their work and providing guidance when needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare tax provisions for audit/accounts purposes
Prepare corporation tax returns and computations
Advise clients on corporation tax liabilities and manage statutory deadlines
Handle correspondence with HM Revenue & Customs on behalf of companies
Supervise junior staff involved in corporation tax work
Perform ad hoc consultancy work as needed for the client portfolio
Engage in advisory work, including international tax, property, R&D, transactional support, and due diligence assignments
Participate in internal technical updates to comply with CIOT CPD requirements (and other relevant bodies)
Manage various administrative duties, including billing and managing WIP
Skills & Qualifications:

ACA / ACCA Qualified
CTA Qualified or Part Qualified
Experience in a Tax-focused role (either solely Corporate or mixed Corporate and Personal)
