  • Provide guidance on technical areas such as capital allowances and R&D tax relief.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members.

Corporate Tax Manager - Senior Manager

A Top 15 Accounting practice is recruiting for a Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager within their Film & TV Team in London.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with major Hollywood studios, streaming networks, independent film and TV production companies in the US and UK. The firm also collaborates with entities related to film and TV production, including financiers, visual effects, post-production houses, and video game developers.

This role offers a dynamic environment suited for those looking to partner with clients in a growing industry.

The team

The Film & TV division comprises about 80 staff, including 7 Partners and 3 Directors, providing a support network from Trainees to Partners. The team operates separately from other Corporate Tax departments but collaborates with various internal teams, including corporate tax, personal tax, payroll, and outsourcing.

The responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of tax compliance processes across a portfolio of Film & TV corporate tax clients.
  • Conduct detailed technical research and respond to technical queries from clients and internal teams.
  • Identify and pursue advisory opportunities, offering proactive tax planning and solutions.
  • Advise clients on creative sector tax reliefs, structuring productions to maximize benefits.
  • Provide guidance on technical areas such as capital allowances, R&D tax relief, transfer pricing, and others, collaborating with specialists as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional growth.
You:
  • ACA or CTA qualified.
  • Interest in the Film & TV industry is preferable, though experience is not essential.
  • Strong UK tax technical skills, analytical ability on complex issues, and providing sound advice are required.
  • Excellent project management, client focus, and collaborative skills are essential.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring junior staff is desirable.
