Our client is a Top 20 accountancy firm and this role will be based in their Manchester office. They seek a corporate tax specialist at either Assistant Manager or Manager level. The mix of work will be varied as the client base of the corporate tax team is across a diverse range of business sectors within the local market.
Corporate tax compliance is one key aspects of the role, incorporating tax planning across this diverse portfolio of clients over the course of the annual cycle. This will include areas such as group tax planning, property planning, capital allowances, R&D tax credits and s455 tax planning. Tax accounting will also be an essential part of the role.
The successful applicant will also work closely with the Partners on stand-alone tax advisory projects, including structuring acquisitions and disposals, transaction support and due diligence.
The role would also include the supervision/review of work undertaken by the tax team including some staff responsibilities and work planning.
Ongoing training will be provided, with the opportunity for the individual to attend both internal and external training sessions. The role provides a good range of work for someone with a solid corporate tax compliance background. Experience of dealing with large groups, partnerships, non-resident landlords and non-resident capital gains tax would be beneficial.
The firm will consider a part-time or full-time appointment, flexible working is possible.This is a growing team and there is clear scope for promotion. Excellent salary and benefits package too.
