Job description

Corporate Tax Manager - Not-for-Profit Focus | Lead with Purpose in a Forward-Thinking Firm
Are you an experienced tax professional with a passion for purpose-led work? Ready to take the next step in your career with a respected firm that supports some of the UK's most impactful organisations?
We're recruiting for a Corporate Tax Manager to join a well-established advisory practice that offers specialist services to the Not-for-Profit (NFP) sector. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a values-driven environment, enjoys variety, and wants to make a difference while continuing to grow professionally.
Working with a diverse client base that includes charities, educational institutions, and other socially focused organisations, you'll provide expert tax guidance, build long-term relationships, and play a key role in the development of the team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing a dedicated NFP client portfolio and overseeing all aspects of corporate tax compliance and advisory services.

  • Advising clients on tax planning opportunities, trading subsidiaries, Gift Aid, partial exemption, and wider governance issues relevant to the sector.

  • Supporting clients through complex queries with sensitivity to their charitable status and public responsibilities.

  • Leading or contributing to advisory projects related to restructuring, group tax strategy, and operational risk.

  • Developing more junior colleagues through coaching and review, contributing to a supportive and high-performing team culture.

  • Building relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally, supporting the firm's presence in the NFP community.
What You'll Bring:

  • Experience in corporate or mixed tax, ideally with exposure to charity/NFP clients (though not essential - strong interest and willingness to learn is welcomed).

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Ability to manage complex technical work and apply it pragmatically within the NFP context.

  • Passion for purpose-led advisory work and contributing to organisations that make a difference.
Why This Firm?

  • Work with mission-driven clients making real societal impact.

  • A strong, inclusive culture with genuine work-life balance and hybrid working options.

  • Competitive salary, benefits, and paid professional subscriptions.

  • Clear route to promotion with personalised career development support.

  • A trusted name in the NFP space, offering varied and rewarding work every day.
