We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Corporate Tax Manager. Reporting to the Director of Direct Tax Operations, this full-time, permanent position is based in the UK, allowing you to make a significant impact on our Corporate Tax Business and its growth. We offer hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

You will provide advanced tax compliance services to a portfolio of clients, including preparation and review of UK corporation tax computations, tax accounting, advice on quarterly payments, and ad hoc tax advisory work.

Key responsibilities:
  • Preparation of detailed tax computations and returns for individual companies and groups using Alphatax software.
  • Handling HMRC enquiries.
  • Providing ad hoc tax advisory work.
  • Reviewing work prepared by the team, including GDH staff.
  • Calculating and advising on tax payments due throughout the year.
  • Monitoring filing and payment deadlines.
  • Keeping up to date with tax technical developments and communicating impacts to clients efficiently.
  • Assisting with the audit process for Vistra clients and liaising with third-party auditors regarding tax disclosures for statutory accounts.
  • Ensuring timely billing of work.
  • Identifying additional services and work opportunities for clients.
  • Communicating professionally and promptly with clients.
Attributes and Technical Skills:
  • Essential: ACA/ACCA, ATT or CTA qualified, diligent with attention to detail, flexible work approach, team player.
  • Desirable: Understanding of international tax issues such as CFCs, transfer pricing, and withholding tax.
Relevant Experience:
  • Essential: Minimum 5 years' experience, ideally within practice. Experience managing a client portfolio. Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Desirable: Experience with R&D, group relief, and share scheme deductions.
