Our Head Office Tax Function is looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic individual to join their team. In this role, you will utilise your natural enthusiasm, impeccable attention to detail, and proven financial understanding to work within the team of Tax specialists. This is an ideal role for a positive and enthusiastic team player looking to grow their career in Tax and seeking progression within a growing company.

Note: To align with company structure, this role will be called Senior Consultant internally.

What you'll do

• Reporting to tax and finance leadership, providing strategic oversight of corporate tax matters (compliance and advisory)
• Overseeing the work of 2 assistants
• Interrogation of accounting systems and analysis of outputs from other departments
• Analysis of expenditure for tax purposes including capital allowances and land remediation
• Ad hoc advisory projects, including evaluating business initiatives and expansions, and analysing the impact of new tax regulations
• Collaborating with other specialists in the tax team, internal stakeholders, external advisers, and Revenue authorities
• Handling tax queries, tasks, and deadlines
• Analyzing and testing compliance controls

What you'll need

• CTA qualification essential
• Highly experienced tax practitioner with reviewing skills and expertise in the functional area
• Efficient in interrogating accounting systems (e.g., SAP)
• Extensive industry experience with a passion to learn and grow
• Strong analytical, numeracy, and accounting skills
• Confident presenting skills
• Strong multi-tasking abilities with prioritization skills
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SAP
• Self-motivated, proactive, and independent problem-solver
• Flexible, with desirable German language skills (not essential)
