We’re working with a successful and forward-thinking accountancy firm based in South Wales who are looking for an ambitious individual to join their corporate tax team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in the corporate world, and who is keen to develop a deeper understanding of tax and its commercial implications.

The job
  • Act as a primary contact for corporate tax compliance, consulting directly with clients and internal teams.
  • Manage the delivery of corporation tax returns and related computations across a wide variety of clients.
  • Support the delivery of tax figures for financial statements, including P&L and balance sheet disclosures.
  • Attend and contribute to audit and accounts meetings, developing a holistic view of client businesses.
  • Learn and develop an understanding of wider tax risks and commercial issues facing larger businesses.
  • Support clients during transactions and clearances, consulting with HMRC and reviewing legal documentation.
  • Get involved in improving internal corporate tax processes and workflows.
  • Manage and support junior team members, reviewing their work and contributing to their development.
  • Be a trusted point of contact for clients, offering tax and business support needed.

  • It would be great if you have a tax qualification but not essential!
Salary & benefits
  • Salary is up to £60,000 pa + bonus (potentially more for an experienced manager)
