Corporate Tax Manager or Senior Manager - Reading

Clark Wood have been instructed on a Managerial level opportunity for a rapidly growing regional firm in Reading, Berkshire, which offers the chance to focus on interesting advisory work for a mixed portfolio of tax clients.

This role would ideally suit a CTA Qualified experienced Manager or current Senior Manager from a small firm, who has experience managing a department and a large complex portfolio of tax clients.

The main client base for this role would be Owner Managed Businesses, Small to Medium Enterprises, Directors, Partners, Private Clients, and High Net Worth Individuals.

The ideal candidate must have good technical skills and experience, and a thorough understanding of UK tax issues. The team deals with a broad range of tax issues, including:

1. IHT/CGT planning
2. Non-dom & trusts
3. Reconstructions and demergers
4. Share schemes and EIS/SEIS
5. R&D tax credits
6. Patent box claims
7. M&A
8. Exit planning and succession planning

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing high-level advisory & planning services with a great deal of autonomy.
2. Business development and networking: developing client services and growing the tax portfolio.
3. Increasing awareness & exposure of the firm's tax services.

This local Reading office is commutable from areas across Berkshire, Hampshire, and Surrey, including Reading, Winnersh, Bracknell, Farnborough, Guildford, Slough, and Wokingham.

Minimum Requirements:

• CTA/ACA Qualified
• Proven track record of Business Development
• Experience within a Manager or Senior Manager level role
