Job summary

Autograph Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager in Cheltenham to lead client relationships and manage a growing tax team. You will take ownership of filing, advisory work, and team development in a role that blends client service with technical tax expertise.

This position offers a hybrid working model with regular office presence to support the wider team and ensure high-quality service for owner-managed and mid-sized corporate clients.

Qualifications

• ACA or CTA qualified with experience reviewing corporate tax computations in practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage corporate tax compliance work within deadlines and budgets.
• Be the day-to-day contact for clients and build strong relationships.
• Review corporate tax computations prepared by junior team members.
• Collaborate with audit, accounts and other teams to deliver excellent service.
• Support tax advisory projects and identify value-adding opportunities.
• Manage risk, WIP and fee quotations.
• Mentor and develop junior colleagues.

You’ll work with a varied portfolio of predominantly owner-managed businesses and mid-sized corporate clients, delivering high-quality tax compliance services and contributing to advisory work.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and managing corporate tax compliance work, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.

• Acting as the day-to-day contact for clients and building strong relationships.

• Reviewing corporate tax computations prepared by junior team members.

• Working closely with audit, accounts and other teams to deliver an excellent client service.

• Supporting tax advisory projects and identifying opportunities to add value.

• Managing risk, work in progress and fee quotations.

• Mentoring and developing junior colleagues.
