We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Corporate Tax Manager. Reporting to the Director, Direct Tax Operations, this full-time, permanent position is based in the UK with hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

You will provide advanced tax compliance services to a portfolio of clients, including preparation and review of UK corporation tax computations, tax accounting work, quarterly payments advice, and ad hoc tax advisory work.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of detailed tax computations and returns for single companies and groups using Alphatax software.
  2. Dealing with HMRC Enquiries.
  3. Ad hoc tax advisory work.
  4. Review of work prepared by the team including GDH staff.
  5. Calculating and advising on tax payments due throughout the year.
  6. Monitoring filing and payment deadlines.
  7. Keeping up to date with tax technical developments and communicating impacts to clients.
  8. Assisting with the audit process for Vistra clients and liaising with third-party auditors as needed.
  9. Timely billing of work.
  10. Identifying additional services and work opportunities for clients.
  11. Communicating with clients professionally and promptly.
Attributes and Technical Skills
  1. Essential: ACA/ACCA, ATT or CTA qualified, diligent, flexible, team player.
  2. Desirable: Knowledge of international tax issues such as CFCs, transfer pricing, and withholding tax.
Relevant Experience
  1. Essential: Minimum 5 years’ experience, ideally in practice, managing a client portfolio, proficient in Word and Excel.
  2. Desirable: Experience with R&D, group relief, and share scheme deductions.
