Overview
This exciting role is within our South Region Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team, based in our South Central or South West offices.
Our clients include UK-headquartered businesses and inbound groups across a range of sectors.
Our work in the tax advisory space includes supporting clients with business and fiscal change. This can include advising on new jurisdiction entry, the development of new business areas, business reorganisations, tax authority enquiries, pre/post transaction reorganisations, refinancing, cash repatriation, interest deductibility, and the impact of global fiscal change (BEPS Pillar 2).
We work as a hybrid team where we meet in the office or at client sites at least twice a week to collaborate and learn together, with flexibility over how you spend the rest of your time.
The Role
• Being one of the main points of contact on a portfolio of clients for day-to-day tax matters and working with Senior Managers and Managers on larger client accounts.
• Supporting tax advisory projects by providing UK corporation tax input based on experience and researching topics, collaborating with other tax areas and overseas member firms to incorporate their input.
• Ensuring clients are updated on emerging corporate and wider tax developments impacting their business.
• Assisting in the delivery of UK corporation tax compliance services.
• Supervising junior staff and providing coaching for their development.
• Assisting Managers and Senior Managers with client account management, ensuring compliance with quality and risk management procedures and financial management.
• Supporting leadership with business development opportunities.
The person
• Qualified CTA or ACA / CA or equivalent.
• UK corporation tax experience.
• Ability to analyze problems, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate, and synthesize information.
• Effective communication skills that are open, honest, consistent, and clear.
• High motivation, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude under pressure.
• Personal responsibility and accountability for managing own work and priorities.
• Commitment to continuous learning and seeking feedback.
• Ability to coach less experienced staff, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback.
