We're supporting a well-known firm of chartered accountants based in Tunbridge Wells, seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Assistant Manager. The role involves developing relationships with a diverse client portfolio, working in a hybrid environment of home and office. There are strong career development opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing Corporate Tax returns and preparing complex ones
  • Handling HMRC enquiries
  • Communicating with clients for additional information
  • Supporting tax planning opportunities
  • Research projects
  • Managing queries about tax filings or payments from HMRC
  • Collaborating with Partners on advice regarding R&D tax relief, loss relief, capital allowances, group reorganisations, and employee share schemes
  • Supporting staff management alongside Managers and Partners
Requirements
  • Experience in corporate tax within UK Accountancy Practice
  • ATT / CTA / ACCA or ACA qualification or studying
  • Experience with tax software is advantageous
  • Strong relationship-building skills and corporate awareness
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
