Job Description:

Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

We are searching for an experienced Corporate Tax Assistant Manager.

Make an Impact within our Corporate Tax team at RSM UK

Our national corporate tax service line supports a wide range of businesses with tax compliance and advisory services, fostering a culture of individuality, collaboration, and positive change to drive success for both our people and clients. When you become part of our tax team, you’ll discover a culture celebrating individuality, fresh thinking, flexibility, and collaboration, whilst not only embracing change but impacting it. We’re not a one-size-fits-all firm and work hard to create an environment where our people can make a difference - to themselves, their careers, their teams, and to the success of RSM and our clients.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be part of a high-performing tax compliance and advisory team in London, Bromley, or Chelmsford. The team supports various sectors, including technology, manufacturing, leisure and tourism, retail, professional services, and construction.

You’ll make an impact by:

  1. Operating as a key client contact across sectors, engaging regularly with client teams and planning work delivery internally.
  2. Providing technically accurate, clear, and concise tax advice on issues like loss relief, tax relief on interest, transfer pricing, R&D tax relief, capital allowances, reorganisations, international tax, and M&A activities.
  3. Building your external network of peers (both client and non-client).
  4. Collaborating with colleagues from other departments to deliver high-quality service, identifying tax risks and opportunities, working with transaction teams on due diligence, and restructuring advisory teams on distress or insolvency cases.
  5. Continuously developing your skills and knowledge, coaching junior team members, and embracing personal growth.

What we are looking for:

If you thrive on variety, love learning, and enjoy connecting with people, this role is ideal for you! We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Our ideal candidate:

  1. Is ACA, ACCA, or CTA (part) qualified.
  2. Has a background in accountancy practice with solid corporate tax knowledge.
  3. Has proven experience managing a client portfolio.
  4. Possesses excellent communication and organizational skills.
  5. Has experience with specialist tax software (advantageous).

What we can offer you:

We recognize our people as our greatest asset and offer a flexible rewards and benefits package:

  • ACA study support
  • Hybrid and flexible working options
  • 26 days holiday (with optional additional days)
  • Wellbeing benefits including financial tools, electric car scheme, and virtual GP access
  • Access to over 300 courses on demand for professional development
