Job summary

Yolk Legal is seeking an ambitious Corporate Associate Solicitor to join its Commercial & Corporate team in Cardiff. This hybrid role offers exposure to a broad client base, including owner‑managed and national corporates, with progression prospects and mentoring.

Qualified in England & Wales with 2+ PQE, you will handle mergers, acquisitions, shareholder agreements and commercial contracts, while developing client relationships and promoting business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with likely 2+ PQE in corporate and/or commercial law.
• Strong drafting, communication and negotiation skills are essential.
• Commercial awareness with a pragmatic client service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Advising on mergers, acquisitions, disposals and corporate restructures.
• Drafting and negotiating shareholder agreements, investment documents and constitutional documents.
• Supporting clients on joint ventures, group reorganisations and strategic transactions.
• Advising on a range of commercial contracts including supply agreements, terms of business, agency and distribution agreements.
• Working closely with clients to provide commercially practical legal advice.
• Managing your own matters with support from senior colleagues where required.
• Playing an active role in networking, business development and growing client relationships.

The team is known for delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice across a wide range of transactional and advisory matters.

What You'll Be Doing as a Corporate Associate

• Advising on mergers, acquisitions, disposals and corporate restructures.
