IT Procurement Manager

We’re Whitbread, the UK’s largest hospitality business with over 1,200 hotels and restaurants across the UK. We’re more than that: we’re the 38,000 people who make everyday experiences special, delighting over 5 million guests every month.

As an IT Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing IS services for Premier Inn & Restaurants and Whitbread Group requirements across the UK and Germany.

You will work closely with the IT Leadership Team following a recent global technology transformation. Your role involves strategic planning, negotiation, and coordination to ensure Whitbread has strong contracts in place and that strategic projects align with business needs, working with key functions including hotel & restaurant operations, commercial, data, corporate, infrastructure, and Germany.

Location: Dunstable-based hybrid role—minimum of 3 days per week in the office, with some travel to London Holborn office.

Job Type: 9-month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: Up to £70,000 + Benefits

What you’ll do:

• Procurement Strategy: Develop, implement, and maintain optimal sourcing strategies for key spend areas across the portfolio.
• Contract Management: Manage the entire contract lifecycle from negotiation to renewal.
• Market Analysis: Conduct analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver long-term value.
• Tender & Negotiation: Manage tenders, negotiate, and implement supplier agreements.
• Supplier Management: Build strong relationships with suppliers, supporting performance reviews.
• Risk & Compliance: Ensure third-party risk management and compliance with procurement policies, including supplier diversity and governance.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with senior stakeholders, including Directors and Executives, to align procurement with business and technology goals.
• HSSE, Diversity & CSR: Embed health, safety, security, environment, diversity, and CSR strategies in procurement activities.

What we need:

• Strong IS procurement experience, particularly in managing IT service categories.
• Experience with a broad range of sourcing strategies, from development to implementation.
• Ideally, educated to degree level.
• Credibility with senior leadership and key suppliers.
• Proven experience managing new contracts and renewals.
• Experience delivering strategic IT projects.
