As Corporate Security Senior Advisor, you’ll be working in a small team responsible for providing assurance that we’re addressing our security risks and improving our security culture. You will be a role model for security, promoting a positive culture and cultivating good behaviours. You'll contribute to protecting the organisation from security threats which could affect our people, data, information, or physical assets.

The team
You will be part of a small, welcoming team within the Corporate Management, Assurance, and Security team, focused on protecting and empowering the organisation to function effectively and be resilient. You will have access to the advice of professional security teams in Defra group Security and work with subject matter experts in the Environment Agency.

The external security landscape is complex with new and evolving risks. Although you do not need to be a security professional, you will need the following skills and experience:

Everyone who joins us is required to undertake training and participate in incident response duties when needed. Further information can be found in your candidate pack.
This is a hybrid role; you will be based at your nearest location in England but will also be able to work from home. Some national travel for meetings will be necessary.
