We are looking for a professional and customer-focused individual to be our new Corporate Security Receptionist; experience in the reception sector would be advantageous for this role.

Key Details:

  • Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Salary: £13.94 per hour
  • Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday (5:30am - 5:30pm)
  • Transport: Driving Licence and access to own vehicle

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative & Security Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors professionally and efficiently.
  • Handle visitor inquiries and sign-ins, providing inductions and safety guidance as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and presentable reception area in line with procedures and regulations.
  • Manage security access card issuance and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain site induction records and conduct visitor inductions.
  • Coordinate room bookings, hotel accommodations, hire cars, and taxis.
  • Assist with hire car drop-offs and collections.
  • Handle general inquiries, phone calls, incoming emails, and site calendars.
  • Provide basic IT support, including guest Wi-Fi access.
  • Order and manage office supplies and resources.
  • Ensure meeting rooms are set up, monitored, and maintained throughout the day.
  • Book meeting rooms and maintain records.
  • Administer key management systems (TRAKA).
  • Perform general administrative tasks (photocopying, shredding, filing, etc.).

Security-Specific Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the visitor management system (VMS).
  • Conduct regular audits of access control systems.
  • Issue and track vehicle passes.
  • Assist with security planning, including guard routes and patrol schedules.
  • Conduct bag and post searches as needed.
  • Support security briefings and training sessions.
  • Assist with person and vehicle searches when required.
  • Organise and maintain security-related paperwork.
  • Coordinate guard equipment needs (e.g., chairs, tables, and other resources).

Qualifications

Job Essentials:

  • Experience in office administration and in a reception position.
  • Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Willingness to train to achieve SIA licence after probation period or to currently hold an SIA licence.
  • Good IT skills and ability to learn new IT systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Customer focused.
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Be punctual and reliable.
