    Job Description

    This role offers a comprehensive approach to security issues across corporate sites, stores, and assets. Responsibilities include managing security technologies such as CCTV, intruder, and fire alarm systems, supporting business operations through monitoring platforms, and liaising with external suppliers, stores, and off-site offices. The role ensures that Next’s property, personnel, and premises are protected and secure.

    The officer will serve as the central contact for out-of-hours support to Retail Facilities and Health & Safety teams, triaging store issues to ensure prompt resolution, whether related to maintenance or safety concerns. This ensures operational efficiency and safety.

    Salaries start from £28,251. Standard hours are 42 per week, Monday to Sunday, involving shift work at Radar Road.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Monitor intruder, fire, and panic alarm systems daily, addressing issues promptly.
    • Coordinate with store staff, third-party contractors, and emergency services as needed.
    • Arrange emergency contractors for out-of-hours store emergencies.
    • Assist Keyholding Company operatives, ensuring compliance with KPIs/SLA.
    • Ensure safety of staff and visitors, recommending physical security enhancements.
    • Provide 24/7 security coverage as part of a team of security/Hub operatives.
    • Maintain accurate records and conduct system audits.
    • Perform weekly tests and prepare reports.
    • Report equipment faults to the Security Supervisor.
    • Support security investigations into breaches and fraud.
    • Assist with external events requiring security presence.
