Purpose of Role: You will play a crucial role in leading the development and implementation of the Group’s Risk Management and Controls framework, ensuring effective risk identification, assessment, and reporting. This role supports compliance with the UK Corporate Governance Code, assists the Group Head of Risk & Insurance, and promotes best practices in risk management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, working with global teams to embed risk processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Manage the Group’s Risk Management policy and controls, ensuring compliance with the UK Corporate Governance Code and supporting Board assurance.
  • Provide risk analysis and reporting: Collate and interpret the Group’s risk profile, conduct horizon scanning, and recommend strategic actions.
  • Promote risk awareness: Conduct training, participate in governance forums, and collaborate with Internal Audit and risk owners to foster a strong risk culture.
  • Safety Commitment: Uphold our zero harm culture and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., IRM, CIRM) is preferred.
  • Experience in developing risk management frameworks within complex organizations, with practical industry experience.
  • Strong skills in controls, internal audit, or enterprise risk management, capable of engaging senior stakeholders and delivering training.
