If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.

The National Finance Office (NFO) is hiring a Corporate Reporting Manager to cover maternity leave for 12 months, starting in early 2027. In this varied role, you will help the finance function meet internal and external deadlines across financial and corporate reporting, taxation and ad hoc tasks. You will play an integral part in developing the firm's corporate reporting function, with strong opportunities for professional development.

The NFO comprises approximately 80 people across multiple locations, supporting the firm's day-to-day finances, including supplier payments, payroll, commercial finance and financial and statutory accounting. You will join its Corporate Reporting team, responsible for financial statements, technical accounting judgements and taxation reporting, working with external auditors, HMRC and colleagues across finance and the wider firm.

You will make an impact by:

The focus of this role is to support the Corporate Reporting team through the year end accounts and audit process. Responsibilities of the role will be project driven around the year end accounts and audit but may include some of the following:

  • Draft and review group and subsidiary financial statements, including consolidation and narrative reporting, prepare technical accounting papers on key judgements, and ensure compliance with IFRS, FRS101, FRS102 and Companies Act disclosure requirements.
  • Manage the year-end audit by collating, reviewing and challenging information, reviewing reconciliations and team outputs, and liaising with RSM's external auditor.
  • Support transfer pricing adjustments and documentation, undertake agreed ad hoc projects, including HMRC tax projects (BRR+ and SAO), and deliver reporting and analysis as requested.
  • Involvement on risk management and regulatory and internal compliance, maintain accurate and complete accounting records, document processes and controls, and challenge existing practices to improve efficiency, robustness and accuracy.
  • Manage and develop junior colleagues, contribute to the team's culture, and work with other departments to ensure processes are followed and build the internal knowledge needed to produce meaningful, insightful management information.
What we are looking for:

Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning new things, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can spot inefficiencies in everyday life and are passionate about making improvements, this role is perfect for you!

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - able to deal with people at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and able to show initiative.
  • Qualified with a professional qualification and strong technical skills.
  • Ideally with a minimum of 5 years practical experience.
