The role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an engaging and vibrant experienced receptionist to join our highly professional Front of House Team based at M&G’s plc Head Office in London. This is a part-time permanent position (28 hours). Days and hours of work Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays, on the following fixed hours on rotational shifts of 08:00-15:30, 09:00-16:30 or 10:00-17:30. Due to the nature of the work this will be a fully office-based role.

As the welcoming face of our head office reception, you will be required to deliver outstanding service and a memorable front of house experience, providing friendly and efficient multi tenanted reception services for clients, visitors, and internal stakeholders, facilitating M&G client floor meeting room management, coordinating day to day workplace activities, and providing support for events.

The role is fast past paced, it will suit a well organised and confident individual with attention to detail, excellent communication, and organisational skills. We are looking for a dynamic and quick-thinking person who must be willing to go above and beyond to deliver an exceptional customer service experience. Previous receptionist experience within a corporate or high-end hotel environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting all visitors and staff into the office in a professional and warm manner.
  • Communicate visitor and client arrivals promptly to the host so that they are escorted to their destination in a timely manner.
  • Provide a seamless service between ground floor reception and internal reception desks.
  • Efficiently handle client and visitor queries, troubleshoot any issues arising
  • Anticipate client needs and follow up to ensure expectations are met.
  • Conducting client floor checks, meeting room checks, including our executive area.
  • Welcoming visitors and offering refreshments upon arrival of the client floor
  • Ensuring the reception area is maintained to a high standard.
  • Actioning event preparation activities (logistics, space set up) and supporting client events (registration, cloakroom).
  • Work closely with and effectively communicate with all other service providers within other departments.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and relevant customer service experience
  • The ability to work on proactively on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Actively contribute to teamwork and colleagues during busy periods.
  • Be motivated, committed and flexible.
  • Be immaculately presented at all times.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong organisational, time management skills and be able to prioritise tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
