A local government authority in Wingerworth is seeking a Corporate Property and Compliance Officer to oversee operational and investment properties. The successful candidate will support facilities management, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while liaising with contractors. ️ What You’ll Be Doing
• Supporting the Corporate Property Manager in delivering responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and compliance across non-housing properties.
• Liaising with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to diagnose and resolve building defects.
• Leading small-scale projects and contributing to capital and revenue programmes.
• Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
• Coordinating risk management plans including fire safety, legionella, and asbestos

What We’re Looking For
You’ll bring a mix of technical knowledge, practical experience, and a collaborative mindset. Ideally, you’ll have:
• A relevant HNC/HND/Level 4 Qualification (or be willing to work towards one)
• Experience in facilities or asset management
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance, including fire, asbestos and legionella.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• A proactive, organised approach with great attention to detail
