CPM has 5 operating pillars.

Finance & Planning supports the execution of the firm’s strategic objectives through the management of the planning process, firmwide reporting and analytics, and insights into the firm’s business plans and budgets. They develop a consistent framework for revenue division projections creating transparency, accountability, and efficiency around projections. This pillar also includes the CF&O, EO, and Engineering divisional CFOs, who are strategic finance advisors helping the firm and the non-revenue divisions achieve commercial financial opportunities. Product Finance is responsible for the overall governance and proactive management of the firm’s non-compensation expenses. Spend Management encompasses the functions responsible for managing all aspects of the firm's spend with third parties - advising commercial agreements and driving operating efficiency. Departments include Strategic Sourcing, Procure to Pay, Integrated Travel and Expense, Infrastructure and Transformation, and Sustainable Operations. Operational Risk & Resilience drives firmwide Operational Risk programs along with second line teams and implements required changes within CPM. The Corporate Insurance & Advisory team in this pillar identifies, procures, and manages corporate insurance needs for the firm and its investing businesses. The CPM Engineering team provides engineering solutions that enable the firm to manage third-party spend, data and automation, plan budgets, forecast financial scenarios, allocate expenses, and support corporate decision-making in line with the firm’s strategic objectives.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Professionals in CPM have an analytical mindset, exhibit intellectual curiosity, and are from diverse academic backgrounds. This role sits within the Spend Management pillar, within Product Enablement & Transformation.

The Product Strategy & Enablement team is a global team that enables Goldman Sachs to manage our vendor contracts and third-party risk actively and effectively, deliver supply chain effectiveness, travel & expense processing, and enable Source-to-Pay activity through the platforms we maintain within our architecture. Through excellent functional, project, program, and change management skills, along with a bias for becoming the subject matter or technical expert and driving our strategic architectural vision, this team seeks to fulfill the vision of our clients and partners with employees across platforms like Ariba, S4, Concur, KY3P & Fieldglass. The Product Enablement & Transformation team works closely with senior leadership, process owners, Spend Management Engineering, and our vendors to drive supply chain value and achieve Corporate Planning & Management’s objectives & key results.

This role, positioned within the Contracting Pillar, will serve as a Data Owner and Migration Lead for our CLM and Orchestration platforms. It requires regular collaboration with various functions across the firm, independent work capability, and interaction with senior professionals. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in data governance, migration methodologies, and will possess a deep understanding of contract data structures to support business objectives and optimize vendor contract processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Define and own the data governance strategy for vendor contracts within the CLM platform.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to identify critical data fields and establish rules for data standardization and validation.
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, and IT teams to ensure data aligns with organizational policies and contract management goals.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data migration strategy for gathering, structuring & transitioning vendor contracts to the CLM platform.
  • Lead the assessment of legacy systems to identify and map data for extraction, transformation, and loading into the new platform.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure a seamless migration process with minimal disruptions.
  • Define and implement data cleansing processes to remove duplicates, correct inconsistencies, and prepare data for migration.
  • Perform detailed validation and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of migrated data and monitor and troubleshoot migration-related issues, ensuring they are resolved promptly.
  • Constantly grow your knowledge and experience, staying close to industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Prioritize flexibility and a ‘how can we make this work’ approach to the most difficult problems to solve.
  • Communicate progress and relevant updates to project drivers, relevant functions and maintain key documentation of approvals where required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, migration, or data management, preferably within CLM platforms or contract management systems.

  • Strong project management skills with experience in migration planning and execution.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and integrity.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work across hierarchies and geographies, with a flexible working style.
