NSS is seeking a highly skilled CPRA to join the Business Finance Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of NSS and Public Health Scotland (PHS). Reporting to the Head of Business Finance, you will lead the development and delivery of high-quality financial reporting and strategic planning across NSS and PHS. With a combined annual revenue budget of approximately £1.3 bn, this role is central to ensuring financial sustainability, governance, and optimal business performance. This is a high-impact role requiring strong analytical skills, strategic foresight, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.
We are looking for candidates who have experience of delivering financial management advice and guidance to Senior Managers and Budget Holders at all levels.
You’ll be comfortable working autonomously, managing competing priorities, and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality financial services that support strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow. Currently hybrid working. Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
