Job Title: Corporate Partnerships Manager

Reporting to: Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager

Location:London/Hybrid - in person working on Wednesdays and willingness to work at Partner’s offices.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours per Week: 35 hours

Salary & Grade: £39,414 - £47,712 (5LCO)

The Role

We are seeking a fundraiser who relishes the excitement of exceeding income targets and developing strong relationships. You will identify opportunities to increase the value of your partnership portfolio and work closely with the internal and external stakeholders to unlock opportunities that help us deliver our strategic goals.

You will manage a partnership portfolio: designing and delivering tailored partnership plans and an innovative and personalised suite of partnership activity. You will work with colleagues across fundraising to ensure we maximise the value of our partnerships and raise the profile of the organisation with our partners. We currently have partnerships with a large variety of exciting brands such as Tesco, Yorkshire Building Society, Premier Foods and many more. Our partners support us in a variety of ways including cause related marketing campaigns, staff and customer fundraising and corporate donations.

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of excellent partnership/relationship management and experience of delivering a variety of fundraising partnerships including staff fundraising and charity of the year. You will have excellent communication skills and will be comfortable negotiating bespoke partnerships and benefits packages and will lead renewal plans to secure and grow the support of current partners.

Cross team collaboration is crucial to the role, and you will be able to demonstrate strong relationship building and influencing skills.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Deliver first rate account management to achieve fundraising objectives and build excellent relationships that facilitate future fundraising growth.

  • Provide a high standard of professional relationship and account management delivering a mix of partnership types including Charity of the Year and staff fundraising.
  • Working with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager and wider team to implement bespoke cultivation and stewardship strategies that encourage the development of strategic, multi-faceted partnerships.
  • Think creatively and entrepreneurially to maximise a partnership’s value and meet agreed targets and KPIs.
  • Monitor and maintain systems and processes, including Salesforce, financial accounting, contracts and due diligence.
  • Ensure FareShare UK strategic priorities are addressed through our partnerships and that the brand is amplified and appropriately valued.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging and confident presentations (both at one-to-one level and at a much larger scale)
  • Establish, agree and monitor key milestones for each relationship, ensuring that partnerships are delivered on time.

Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maximise the potential for fundraising

  • Work closely with senior leaders at FareShare and our partners to influence and engage them with fundraising, thought leadership and pro-bono projects.
  • Create and implement stakeholder engagement programmes to support the delivery of partnerships.
  • Work with Marketing and Communications Team to promote partnerships across FareShare and partner channels.
  • Work with the Corporate Development function on the development of new partnerships and to ensure a smooth transition from new business to account management when appropriate.
  • Work with other areas of Fundraising, the Food Team and Operations Team to maximise on opportunities for partners.

Adhere to the organisation’s legal obligations, Charity Compliance & Policies

  • Efficient and effective management of staff fundraising income and commercial income activity ensuring compliance with GDPR, legal and charity regulation and FareShare’s own Ethical Gift Policy.
  • Manage all legal and financial aspects of partnership agreements.
  • Manage and work within FareShare’s IT systems and data guidelines.
  • Represent Fundraising where required on internal working groups.
  • Undertake training and skills development and keep up to date with the changing requirements of the role
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

Person Specification

If you are a real team player with a proven track record in delivering exceptional account management, always meeting fundraising targets, as well as having excellent communication and relationship building skills, along with a tenacious approach, then we’d love to hear from you.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of two years of experience providing excellent relationship management and stewardship with key external and internal fundraising stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing six figure partnerships in a charity with charity of the year and employee fundraising partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Understanding of the Fundraising Regulator’s code of practice, data protection and other relevant legislation, guidance and good practice in an employee fundraising partnership context
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling tailor-made pitches, account plans and proposals to meet corporate fundraising objectives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines Experience of financial management including forecasting and monitoring fundraising budgets
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills with experience setting up fundraising opportunity and creating legal agreements
  • Commercial awareness with knowledge of various corporate sectors and relevant VAT considerations
  • Line Management experience
  • Evidence of using data, insight and creativity to achieve goals.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of working with FMCG brands and professional services
  • Experience of using Salesforce or a similar database
