Where: Remote with regular travel across the UK

Hours: 37.5 hrs a week

About the role:

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Partnership Officer who also wants to develop their corporate fundraising skills and look to build a career in both developing and securing high-level partnerships.

Leukaemia Care has secured a further three-year partnership with the Dalata Hotel group, and this role is focused primarily on the management and development of that relationship in the short term, working closely with all the 22 hotels across England, Scotland and Wales to build key relationships and maximise fundraising and engagement.

Some account management of other, smaller partnerships will be included.

In addition, the postholder will work alongside other members of the fundraising team to identify potential new corporate partners for the charity.

Role responsibilities to include:

  • Develop, maintain and nurture strong relationships with the charity’s main corporate partner (Dalata Hotels) and, potentially, a share of new partners and sponsors.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Dalata Hotel partnership and manage their account requests and partnership actions to maximise fundraising. This will involve regular travel across England, Scotland and Wales (full expenses paid with mileage at 45p per mile, and full TOIL policy).
  • Support Dalata Hotel corporate partners in organising internal fundraising events, employee volunteer programmes, and any other ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities.
  • Assist in the development of any partnership promotional materials and marketing/media content. Ensure that all relevant partner and associated individual fundraiser records are up to date on the Leukaemia Care database.
  • Attend regular client meetings to ensure the Dalata Hotel partnership is on track, and that strong relationships are built.
  • Provide regular reports on corporate partner activity to the Head of Fundraising.

  • Ability to analyse data from different sources including databases
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work on own initiative and as part of a small team
  • Able to carry out office administration tasks as part of role Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A good team player – able to link in and work well with a range of people within the organisation
  • Confident, enthusiastic and creative
  • Highly IT literate (MS Office preferable)
  • Strong telephone skills – negotiation and understanding skill
