3 posts | Corporate Parenting Social Workers/Senior Social Workers | 8073 | permanent contracts | 37 hours per week | £38,626 to £40,476 per annum | Grade J/K | Norfolk - West & Breckland

We are seeking to recruit Level 2 or Senior Social Workers for our In Care Team and Life Beyond Care Teams in the West Norfolk and Breckland area, working with Looked After Children and Care Leavers.

We welcome applications from those who have experience of working with children and young people who are in Care/Care Experienced, or Care Leavers or those who have experience as a Childrens Social Worker and the transferrable skills to now work in this area.

We also welcome applications from those seeking to return to front line statutory practice.

We have ambitious plans to shape how we work with families, placing practitioners and relationship-based practice at the heart of what we do. Through Vital Signs, our vision for children and young people in Norfolk, we work with family and natural networks and across the whole system to support families to build on their strengths and to achieve the best possible outcomes.

We believe it is vital that children are prepared and able to learn; build positive, long-term relationships and receive family-based care. Norfolks social care model is a relationship-based, purposeful approach with social workers practicing in a trauma informed way, incorporating therapeutic approaches within their work with children, young people, their carers and families.

Our approach to working with Children In Care includes a specialist service with Clinicians and Practitioners working to support social care teams in meeting need and improving outcomes for young people Looked After in Norfolk.

It is an exciting time to join our Corporate Parenting Service as we embark on a new way of working that allows Practitioners to focus on preventative work to support the emotional wellbeing and aspirations for every young person we work with.

With relevant professional vocational qualification in Social Work, you will have registration with Social Work England.

You will have experience working within the Corporate Parenting area or transferable skills with the ability to motivate individuals and create high performing teams, you will bring strong leadership skills and will have managed performance during periods of change.

Two posts in our In Care Teams, based in Kings Lynn or Dereham.

One post in our Life Beyond Care Team, based in Kings Lynn.
