COMMERCIAL CORPORATE PARALEGAL

Do you want to be part of the well-known and highly successful team at Carter Bond? Well, we’re hiring! This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly capable individual to join us as a Corporate Paralegal. More details below.

About Us

Carter Bond Solicitors is a boutique law firm based in Harrow, North West London. We are agile, dynamic and rapidly growing, serving both national and international clients.

We are proud to be recognised in The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners for our excellence in corporate and healthcare work.

Our motto is simple: clear, concise, and commercial advice. While we’re large enough to handle complex matters, we’re small enough to ensure that our people and our work remain exceptional.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal to support our growing corporate team. You’ll be working on real transactions from day one, supporting solicitors with M&A work, shareholder agreements, restructures, and general company law matters.

You’ll have all the responsibility you can handle, including drafting key documents, liaising with clients, and preparing for completions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with company and business acquisitions and disposals.
  • Support solicitors through all stages of corporate transactions.
  • Draft ancillary documents (board minutes, resolutions, Companies House forms).
  • Manage due diligence processes and maintain data rooms.
  • Prepare completion checklists, bundles, and deal summaries.
  • Conduct legal research and assist with general company secretarial matters.
  • Liaise with clients and third parties professionally and efficiently.

Person Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a wide range of skills and the potential to contribute to our growing success. Being a team player is key, as is having the drive and ambition to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

We value energy, enthusiasm, commercial sense, and the ability to build strong working relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Law degree (minimum 2:2 or equivalent).
  • LPC (or SQE preparation) completed, with Company Law or M&A electives preferred.
  • Previous experience as a paralegal in a corporate/commercial team is essential.

Key Skills Required

  • Excellent drafting and organisational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High levels of professionalism and client service.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work independently and prioritise under pressure.
  • Confident with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and legal research tools.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector (e.g., dental, pharmacy transactions).
  • Familiarity with company secretarial software and virtual data rooms.

We welcome ambitious individuals who want to grow. The right candidate may be considered for a future training contract or equivalent development opportunity within the firm.
