We stand out for our consistently excellent advice: we provide technical excellence, experience, and crucially, demonstrate real insight into our clients and what matters to them. Our knowledge of our chosen sectors and markets, along with our investment in client relationships, set us apart. We are a natural choice for FTSE100 and other high-profile clients.

THE TEAM

Launched in 2010, our well-established, high-performing, and busy Transaction Services Team (TST) helps Addleshaw Goddard deliver a world-class service to its clients. We were the first team of its kind in the UK and continue to innovate by delivering work efficiently, saving clients time and money. Our team includes apprentices, paralegals, managers, and solicitors.

Team members handle a variety of legal tasks that do not necessarily require qualified lawyers, including transactional, advisory, and contentious work components. Supported by technology, we play a key role in enabling Addleshaw Goddard to respond to demand for innovative and value-driven services.

In addition to a competitive salary and flexible benefits, you'll have opportunities to support major UK businesses and potentially undertake internal and client secondments. Our career development framework and training programs are designed to support your growth, including regular career conversations, legal qualification sponsorship, and technical development programs.

The Role

The work is varied, with team members assigned to subteams aligned with different divisions. While primarily supporting your subteam, you'll work on assignments across the firm, gaining insight into a commercial law firm. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting corporate transactions, managing data rooms, liaising with third parties
  • Reviewing and reporting on contracts, redacting documents per instructions
  • Attending disclosure meetings and preparing draft disclosure letters
  • Preparing for and assisting with completion processes
  • Post-completion tasks such as drafting ancillary documents and producing bibles
  • Handling GDPR-related document redactions
  • Proofreading contracts and documents for quality and consistency
  • Drafting legal documents and standard forms
  • Supporting clients on-site
  • Performing additional tasks as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

This role requires a flexible, proactive individual capable of managing multiple demands in a dynamic environment. Essential skills include:

  • High attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude
  • Strong work ethic and desire to succeed
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Sound judgment and commercial awareness
  • Interest or experience in technology-driven work

Previous paralegal experience in Corporate and Commercial law is beneficial but not required.

OUR FIRM

Addleshaw Goddard values, encourages, and challenges its people in a supportive environment. Our culture of growth, collaboration, and innovation drives results and rewards ambition.

We demonstrate technical excellence and insight into our clients' needs, making us a preferred partner for FTSE100 clients and others globally. Our diverse team and employee networks celebrate our differences and foster an inclusive culture.

OUR APPROACH: IMAGINE THE BEST YOU CAN BE

Our achievements are rooted in our people and their work. We invest continuously in our reputation and in our people. Here, you'll do high-caliber work with colleagues who care for one another and our clients. Are you ready for the challenge?
