Overview

The role: a paralegal in our busy corporate team, based at our Birmingham office working closely with Midlands Partners. You will gain exposure and assist Partners, Senior Associates, and the wider national team on a variety of M&A, capital markets and private equity corporate transactions, and undertake company secretarial and management company work for corporates. The team offers opportunities to broaden expertise and develop skills with a view to taking on greater levels of responsibility.

You Will Be Responsible For The Following
  • Preparing capital allowances reports for tax relief on the purchase and development of commercial properties (e.g., office purchases, hotel redevelopment, or care home construction).
  • Surveying properties across sectors such as hospitality, offices, data centres, leisure and industrial properties.
  • Carrying out due diligence for property purchases.
  • Advising clients on contractual clauses for sale and purchase agreements or analysing cost information for new developments or refurbishments.

The Person

We seek a candidate who ideally has a degree in law or is working towards a post-graduate legal qualification, or a career paralegal seeking progression. The role is suited to ambitious candidates who wish to progress long term within the firm and develop their skillset in a highly successful corporate environment.
