Corporate M&A / Deals Tax Director
Location: Cheltenham or Cardiff (Hybrid/Remote Options Available)
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced tax professional to step into a Director-level role within a high-performing Corporate Finance and M&A environment. This is a chance to work closely with corporate acquirers, private equity firms, and major banks, contributing to complex and high-value transactions across the UK.
With significant deal volume and growth on the horizon, we are building a dedicated transactional tax team to enhance the tax support provided throughout the M&A lifecycle.
What you'll be doing:


  • Leading and delivering tax due diligence projects (buy-side and vendor)

  • Identifying key tax risks and reviewing relevant sections of Sale & Purchase Agreements, including tax warranties and indemnities

  • Advising on the tax implications of transaction structures, with a focus on commercial practicality

  • Supporting group reorganisations, including advising on step plans and structuring

  • Conducting pre-sale tax reviews for businesses with upcoming sales mandates
