Corporate Legal Director

Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 ranked firm that is looking for a Corporate Legal Director to join their team in Leeds or Manchester.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Guiding the company on legal matters, aligning legal strategy with business goals, and advising senior leadership and the board.
2. Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing legal risks, supporting corporate governance, and overseeing internal policies and ethics.
3. Overseeing key contracts, negotiating deals, and supporting major transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
4. Leading the legal team, managing external counsel, and ensuring efficient use of legal resources.

The successful candidate:

• Has extensive experience in corporate law.
• Possesses excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Has experience managing junior lawyers and legal teams.
• Is capable of building and maintaining client relationships.
• Has experience in business development and attracting new clients.
• Demonstrates strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
