The Opportunity: CPL is actively recruiting an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join the firm's specialist corporate team, working with a wide range of clients from start-ups to multinationals.

About the role: The successful candidate will be a key part of a hardworking, friendly, and supportive team, with opportunities to focus on M&A work, investment, and corporate governance, particularly in intellectual property and tech law within Northern Ireland's vibrant start-up community.

What you'll need to succeed: The ideal candidate should have significant experience in the following areas and be confident to handle transactions with partner support:

1. Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
2. Experience in M&A processes
3. Venture capital and/or private equity investment processes
4. General corporate advisory work (share issues, buy-backs, re-organisations)
5. Producing shareholder agreements and bespoke articles of association
6. Legal due diligence and advising on solutions
7. Handling disclosure processes and reviewing related documents
8. Drafting ancillary documents for acquisitions or disposals
9. Client communication skills; understanding of IP is advantageous
10. Strong team player with experience in high-performing, collaborative environments
