Job Description:

The Opportunity: CPL is actively recruiting for an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This is an exceptional opportunity for a lawyer with experience in corporate law to work with a diverse range of clients, from start-ups to multinationals.

About the role: The successful candidate will be a key part of a friendly, supportive, and hardworking team, focusing on M&A, investment, corporate governance, and particularly in intellectual property and tech law within the vibrant start-up community in Northern Ireland.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
  • Experience with M&A processes
  • Experience in venture capital and/or private equity investments
  • Knowledge of general corporate advisory work, including share issues, buy-backs, and re-organisations
  • Experience producing shareholder agreements and bespoke articles of association
  • Legal due diligence skills
  • Experience reviewing disclosure letters or schedules
  • Drafting ancillary documents for acquisitions or disposals
  • Ability to handle client calls independently; understanding of IP is advantageous
  • Strong team player with experience in collaborative environments
