Job Description

The Opportunity: Cpl is actively recruiting an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join a specialist corporate team working with a diverse range of clients, from start-ups to multinationals.

About the role: The successful candidate will be a key member of a supportive team, focusing on M&A, investment, and corporate governance, with particular expertise in intellectual property and tech law within the vibrant start-up community in Northern Ireland.

Requirements
  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
  • Experience with M&A processes
  • Knowledge of venture capital and private equity investments
  • Experience with corporate advisory work, including share issues, buy-backs, and reorganizations
  • Ability to produce shareholder agreements and articles of association
  • Legal due diligence experience
  • Experience with disclosure processes and ancillary documents
  • Ability to handle client calls independently; understanding of IP is advantageous
  • Strong team player with experience in high-performing, collaborative environments
