Job Description:

The Opportunity: CPL is actively recruiting an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join the firm's specialist corporate team, working with a wide range of clients from start-ups to multinationals.

About the Role: The successful candidate will be a key part of a hardworking, friendly, and supportive team, focusing on M&A work, investment, and corporate governance, with particular expertise in intellectual property and tech law, especially within Northern Ireland's vibrant start-up community.

What You'll Need to Succeed: The ideal candidate will have significant prior experience, confident to handle transactions with partner support, including:

  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
  • Experience in M&A processes
  • Venture capital and/or private equity investment experience
  • General corporate advisory work (share issues, buy-backs, re-organisations)
  • Producing shareholder agreements and bespoke articles of association
  • Legal due diligence and reporting
  • Handling disclosure and ancillary documents for acquisitions/disposals
  • Client communication skills without supervision; understanding of IP is advantageous
  • Strong team player with experience in high-performing, collaborative environments
