The opportunity: CPL is actively recruiting an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join the firm's specialist corporate team, working with a diverse range of clients from start-ups to multinationals.

About the role: The successful candidate will be a key part of a dedicated, friendly, and supportive team, focusing on M&A work, investments, and corporate governance, with particular expertise in intellectual property and tech law, especially within Northern Ireland's vibrant start-up community.

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
  • Experience in M&A processes
  • Venture capital and/or private equity investment experience
  • General corporate advisory work, including share issues, buy-backs, and re-organisations
  • Experience producing shareholder agreements and bespoke articles of association
  • Legal due diligence skills
  • Experience handling client calls independently
  • Understanding of intellectual property is advantageous
  • Strong team player with experience in high-performing, collaborative environments
