Job Description

The Opportunity: Cpl is actively recruiting for an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join the firm's specialist corporate team, working with a wide range of clients from start-ups to multinationals.

About the role: The successful candidate will be a key part of a friendly and supportive team, focusing on M&A, investment, and corporate governance, with particular expertise in intellectual property and tech law, especially within the vibrant start-up community in NI.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
  • Experience in M&A processes
  • Experience with venture capital and/or private equity investments
  • Experience in general corporate advisory work, including share issues, buy-backs, and reorganizations
  • Ability to produce shareholder agreements and bespoke articles of association
  • Experience with legal due diligence and advising on solutions
  • Experience handling disclosure processes and reviewing related documents
  • Ability to draft ancillary documents for acquisitions or disposals
  • Confidence in handling client calls independently; knowledge of IP is a plus
  • Strong team player with experience in high-performing, collaborative environments
