Job Description:

The Opportunity: CPL is actively recruiting for an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join the firm's specialist corporate team, working with a wide range of clients from start-ups to multinationals.

About the role: The successful candidate will be a key part of a hardworking, friendly, and supportive team, with the opportunity to focus on M&A work, investment, and corporate governance, particularly in intellectual property and tech law within the vibrant startup community in NI.

What you'll need to succeed: The ideal candidate would have significant prior experience in the following areas and be confident to handle transactions with partner support:

• Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
• Experience with M&A processes
• Venture capital and/or private equity investment processes
• General corporate advisory work, such as share issues, buy-backs, and re-organizations
• Producing shareholder agreements and articles of association
• Legal due diligence, reporting, and advising on solutions
• Handling disclosure processes and reviewing disclosure documents
• Drafting ancillary documents for acquisitions or disposals
• Communicating with clients independently; familiarity with IP is an advantage
• Strong team player with experience in high-performing, collaborative environments
