Job Description

The Opportunity: Cpl is actively recruiting for an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This is an exceptional opportunity for a lawyer with substantial experience to join a specialist corporate team working with a diverse range of clients from start-ups to multinationals.

About the role: The successful candidate will be a key part of a friendly, supportive, and high-performing team, focusing on M&A, investment, and corporate governance, with particular expertise in intellectual property and tech law, especially within Northern Ireland's vibrant start-up community.

Requirements
  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
  • Experience in M&A processes
  • Venture capital and/or private equity investment experience
  • Knowledge of corporate advisory work such as share issues, buy-backs, and reorganizations
  • Experience producing shareholder agreements and articles of association
  • Legal due diligence skills
  • Ability to handle client calls independently
  • Understanding of IP law is advantageous
  • Strong team player with experience in collaborative environments
