Job Description

The opportunity: Cpl is actively recruiting an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join this firm's specialist corporate team, working with a wide range of clients from start-ups to multinationals.

About the role: The successful candidate will be a key part of a friendly and supportive team, focusing on M&A, investment, corporate governance, with particular expertise in intellectual property and tech law, especially within the vibrant start-up community in NI.

Requirements
  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
  • Experience in M&A processes
  • Experience with venture capital and/or private equity investments
  • General corporate advisory work including share issues, buy-backs, and re-organisations
  • Drafting shareholder agreements and articles of association
  • Legal due diligence and advising on solutions
  • Handling disclosure processes and reviewing disclosure documents
  • Drafting ancillary documents related to acquisitions or disposals
  • Ability to handle client calls independently; knowledge of IP is an advantage
  • Strong team player with experience in high-performing, collaborative environments
