Job Description:

The Opportunity: CPL is actively recruiting an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join the firm's specialist corporate team, working with a wide range of clients from start-ups to multinationals.

About the role: The successful candidate will be a key part of a hardworking, friendly, and supportive team, focusing on M&A work, investment, and corporate governance, with particular expertise in intellectual property and tech law, especially within Northern Ireland's vibrant start-up community.

What you'll need to succeed:

  1. Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
  2. Experience in M&A processes
  3. Venture capital and/or private equity investment experience
  4. General corporate advisory work such as share issues, buy-backs, and reorganisations
  5. Experience producing shareholder agreements and articles of association
  6. Legal due diligence experience
  7. Ability to handle client calls independently
  8. Understanding of IP is advantageous
  9. Strong team player with experience in high-performing, collaborative environments
