Job Description:

The Opportunity: CPL is actively recruiting an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join the firm's specialist corporate team, working with a wide range of clients from start-ups to multinationals.

About the role: The successful candidate will be a key part of a friendly and supportive team, with the opportunity to focus on M&A work, investment, and corporate governance, particularly in intellectual property and tech law within the vibrant start-up community in NI.

What you'll need to succeed:
  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
  • Experience in M&A processes
  • Venture capital and/or private equity investment experience
  • General corporate advisory work, including share issues, buy-backs, and re-organisations
  • Producing shareholder agreements and bespoke articles of association
  • Legal due diligence and advising on solutions
  • Handling disclosure processes and reviewing disclosure letters or schedules
  • Drafting ancillary documents on acquisitions or disposals
  • Experience handling client calls independently; understanding of IP is advantageous
  • Strong team player with experience in high-performing, collaborative environments
