Job Description:

The Opportunity: CPL is actively recruiting an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join the firm's specialist corporate team, working with a wide range of clients from start-ups to multinationals.

About the Role: The successful candidate will be an integral part of a supportive team, focusing on M&A, investment, and corporate governance, with particular expertise in intellectual property and tech law, especially within Northern Ireland's vibrant start-up community.

What You'll Need to Succeed: The ideal candidate should have significant experience in the following areas and be confident to handle transactions with partner support:

• Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
• M&A process
• Venture capital and/or private equity investment process
• General corporate advisory work, such as share issues, buy-backs, and reorganizations
• Producing shareholder agreements and bespoke articles of association
• Legal due diligence and advising on solutions
• Handling disclosure process and reviewing disclosure letters or schedules
• Drafting ancillary documents for acquisitions or disposals
• Handling client calls independently; understanding of IP is advantageous
• Team player with experience in high-performing, collaborative environments
