Job Description

The Opportunity: CPL is actively recruiting for an experienced Corporate Lawyer (Senior Associate) to join an industry-leading legal firm with offices in Belfast City. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join the firm's specialist corporate team, working with a wide range of clients from start-ups to multinationals.

About the role: The successful candidate will be a key part of a hardworking, friendly, and supportive team, focusing on M&A work, investment, corporate governance, with particular expertise in intellectual property and tech law, especially within the vibrant start-up community in Northern Ireland.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE
  • Experience in the M&A process
  • Experience in venture capital and/or private equity investment processes
  • Experience in general corporate advisory work, such as share issues, share buy-backs, and internal reorganizations
  • Experience in producing shareholder agreements and bespoke articles of association
  • Legal due diligence experience, including collating reports and advising on solutions
  • Experience with the disclosure process and reviewing disclosure letters or schedules
  • Experience drafting ancillary documents on acquisitions or disposals
  • Ability to handle client calls independently; understanding of IP is advantageous
  • Strong team player with experience in high-performing, collaborative environments
